It is a widely accepted fact that a person spend one-third of the day sleeping. Now, that being said, it can only be imagined how much important right bed is. However, modern beds have fast overtaken the traditional beds because several reasons. Lack of space, affordability factor and convenience has become the preference and that has given rise to many modern beds. When I moved into my new apartment last year, I spent a lot of time choosing the right bed. While there are many beds that defy the conventional look and in some case the purpose of a traditional bed, I choose to pick a platform bed.
Platform beds, unlike the traditional ones, do not have legs that make it stand much above the ground. These beds have hard and horizontal surface which primarily supports just the mattress. Platform beds are extremely viable because one, they do not take up too much space and two, because they eliminate the requirement of a mattress foundation. Low-lying that they are, platform beds give a great look to any bedroom. This also makes the room appear larger and spacious than it may be.
If you have kids at home, then an excellent choice of a modern bed is a loft bed for kids. A loft bed is similar to what would call a bunk bed. When the kids outgrow their cribs, clearly the time for the little champion to move out becomes imminent. Loft beds have sofa-like seating on the floor and the actual bed is above it. The seating supports the bed with metal joints to give it strength. A side step bar helps kids move in and out of their beds. Many parents love this idea because it helps them teach kids to educate keeping the room clean.
Most modern bedroom furniture are expensive because they are tailored according to the place but considering the investment is worth in the long run, there is little doubt that modern beds will continue to thrive and be in demand.
